Palmer and his papa

Palmer and his papa

What they have, their bond, it's sacred to me. I remember when we first started talking about having children... He wasn't sure if he would know what to do, how to be. He had only held one baby in his life. He had never changed a diaper. He had grown up across the Atlantic from his own father. We both had our personal baggage around fatherhood. Having Palmer healed so much of it. He grows as a father continually. It makes me love and appreciate him so much more. Do you know how beautiful it is to watch them playing together? To watch @barringtonsteed showering him with comfort or affection? My heart could burst when I hear that little voice say, "I love you papa." You can be the thing you needed as a child. You can heal your own hurt.
Thank you to my husband, their papa, for showing me that.
