I'm a full time nurse on a med surg neuro floor. I have the privilege of working with an exceptional group of strong nurses and health care professionals that teach me something new every single day. Our unit sees a bit of everything, but we specialize in patients who have suffered CVA's or have other neurological diagnosis. I love being a nurse because it's an opportunity to serve. I've been on the other side of the bedside with loved ones, specifically my mother and father as well as my now teenage son when he was just 3 months old. I so appreciated the kindness and love that the nurses showed them, and it inspired me to go back to school and become a nurse myself. Each morning on my drive to work, my prayer is "where would you have me go, what would you have me do, what would you have me say, and to whom?" I learn so much from my patients and feel fortunate to have the opportunity to be of service to them. Holding cute babies is a bonus.
